What is clear from #allislanddialogue that umbrella organisations across Ireland have huge concerns about the rejection of #WithdrawalAgreement and possibility of #NoDeal. This is dismissed by the DUP's Sammy Wilson whose ideologically driven crusade is threatening our prosperity
Minister @HMcEntee concludes #allislanddialogue there's 'huge amount of work' to do to prepare for #NoDeal: "There's no doubt that the best way to avoid this, to protect the peace process, the invisible border and the All-Island economy is by ratifying the #WithdrawalAgreement."
Businesses are really worried about what #NoDeal will mean for #NorthernIreland. Makes you wonder why any responsible NI political party could seriously argue NI was better off out of #EU:
"BBC News - Brexit: Norbrook planning to stockpile for no-deal"
Despite what is portrayed by the DUP, the only main NI political party which advocated Leave, #NorthernIreland voted Remain, the main business & farming umbrella organisations in NI support the #WithdrawalAgreement and believe #NoDealBrexit would wreck the local economy.
“Viewed from Brussels, every part of the Malthouse compromise is out of the question, from its attempt to reheat rejected ideas for technological border solutions to the demand for a standstill transition without a withdrawal agreement.”
These pertinent questions asked by experts on borders and the #IrishBorder in particular, must be fully answered by those ERG ideologues. If they can't, then something drastic is needed to avoid crashing over the cliff at the end of next month.
