The European Movement in Northern Ireland (EMNI) has encouraged all umbrella organisations and relevant bodies in the North to send in their concerns about Brexit.
The NI Independent Council on Europe, which includes a wide range of representatives from Politics, Business and Civic Society, has called on submissions to be sent to them before 10 March.
Article 50 is likely to be triggered following the passage of the legislation through Parliament. Negotiations on leaving the EU is expected to begin soon after.
EMNI Chair Ian Parsley, who is also the deputy chair of the Independent Council, said ‘we need voices from across this society to make their concerns about a potential hard Brexit heard’.
“I am calling on the FSB, the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, the IOD, the Ulster Farmers Union among many others to make submissions to our new group. If we don’t set out a persuasive case for Northern Ireland, backed up by evidence then we are in danger of being left at the bottom of the pile.”
Submissions from organisations in NI concerned about the forthcoming negotiations to send in submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org by 10 March.
